VOLUNTEER...

COME JOIN IN ON THE REAL FUN!!

We are always looking for volunteers, not only the weekend of the event, but throughout the year. If you would like to help out, call Dave Paxton at (307) 431-2755, we will be sure to contact you. The BBQ Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, and would love to have you join us!

13th ANNUAL BBQ/BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

Each year, the 3rd weekend in August, over 30 BBQ teams compete at our festival in Worland, Wyo. for prizes totaling $10,000! This event draws nearly 3500 spectators.

AT THE FESTIVAL

The Washakie County Fairgrounds is a large grassy covered area, surrounded by plenty of shade trees. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and leave your pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, goldfish, etc.) at home. BBQ smoking is all that is allowed on the fairground property; please do not bring tobacco products.

BONE BUCKS

All purchases at the BBQ Festival must be made with bone bucks which can be bought at the two onsite bank locations. Bone Bucks are used in order to ensure vendors get paid appropriately. This also helps maintain free admission into the festival.

KID ZONE

It's understandable parents like a place where their children need only moderate parental supervision. That's why we have our kid zone set up! Plenty of kid friendly activities such as bouncy toys, face painting, and dunking booth. A nominal fee may be charged for some of these activities. We even have a BBQ competition for the kiddos on Saturday morning.
